Unknown spider - Dolomedes tenebrosus

Unknown spider - Dolomedes tenebrosus
Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, USA
October 27, 2012
Size: 2 1/2" from toe to toe
This spider and several others like it were "resting" on top of a tarp covering our wood pile. This one was the most detailed in pattern. The others were more muted in color, though with similar designs. They were all about the same size. It was a chilly cloudy afternoon. The woodpile was at the edge of our woods under some trees. There were a couple dead spiders as well - curled up, dried out dead. There didn't seem to be any webs present.

Moved
Moved from ID Request. Yes they're most likely D. tenebrosus. This one is probably a juvenile which is why its a little different colored. The spiders are hunters so they don't use webs to catch food.

Thank you for the info - I looked up the spider with the name you provided and found an exact picture. It was listed as immature - as you suggested.
