Orange colored Robber Fly - Laphria vultur - Female
Diamond Lake / Cascade Mts., Douglas County, Oregon, USA
July 8, 2013
Size: less than 1 in
This beautiful robber fly appeared to be egg laying in pre-existing holes in an old, downed log. The holes were about 3/16 inch wide.
