Scolecocampa liburna

Scolecocampa liburna
Town of Danby, Tompkins County, New York, USA
July 14, 2013
First year I've noted the species on my sheet and have had at least four individuals show up during July 11-16.

Emerald Ash Borer
Perhaps from all the downed Ash trees caused by the Emerald Ash Borer. I've had many this year also.

I agree
Looks like you had one in Kent, Ontario a few days ago. We are apparently seeing a new northern front for this species, and I think your idea that it may be due to the EAB is a good possibility.
