Sometimes considered to be a subspecies of Dusted Skipper (Atrytonopsis hianna).
Identification
Similar to Dusted Skipper, but with bold white chevron on ventral hindwing.
Range
Coastal North Carolina to Florida.
Habitat
Dunes, sandy grasslands, weedy fields.
Season
Two flight periods in North Carolina: April to mid-May and mid-July-August. Three flight periods in Florida.
Food
Seaside Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium [Andropogon] littorale) is a known host plant in North Carolina.
