Size
7-18 mm ♀, 6-12 mm ♂(1)
Identification
Females have black antennae, black and white-marked legs, and the abdomen usually black (occasionally red) with white to yellow spots. Males are recognized by the mostly yellow mesopleuron and the black ground color of the head. Additionally, the male antennae are mostly amber, and the legs are red or orange.(1)
