Carophilus sp. - Urophorus humeralis
Organ Mountains foothills, Doña Ana County, New Mexico, USA
August 15, 2006
Size: about 4 mm
Taken with banana-baited pitfall trap. This was the only nitidulid I encountered on my New Mexico trip. Some genera are frequent visitors to UV and MV lights at home in New Hampshire, but apparently not in New Mexico.

The name appears to fit considering the humeral markings.
