ID help, please - Cydia pomonella
Verona, Augusta County, Virginia, USA
July 21, 2013
at first glance I thought this was Cydia pomonella - Hodges #3492, but there are two silver bands that run half the breadth of the forewing from the inner margin parallel to the outer margin near the anal angle ... any ideas if this is merely a different morph of that species or something else. I don't want to post it to the Coddling Moth without verification. Thanks.
