Colorful cricket? - Phyllopalpus pulchellus

Colorful cricket? - Phyllopalpus pulchellus
Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
Found this on a common milkweed plant. Jumping legs are bright green. Body has two bands - one deep purple/indigo, the other a lighter magenta/purple. I'm guessing it's in the cricket family? Possibly ovipositor on the rear?
