Sawfly or wasp? -
Scolia nobilitata
Plantation, Broward County, Florida, USA
October 1, 2006
I always see these sleeping in the leaves at a certain tree in my yard at the end of the day. Just curious to what they are.
Thanks,
Charles

yes
Recently I have been seeing these on certain weeds along the canal in my back yard as well . I submitted a couple of images but they weren't as good as this one.
