Perhaps Anoplodactylus lentus?
See here for a comprehensive, albeit old, key:
The Pycnogonida of the Western North Atlantic and the Caribbean
. While your picture obviously doesn't have enough detail for this to be keyed out properly, I wonder if it would be possible to determine anyway...

Moved
Moved from

I'm not sure if all of my fellow editors will be thrilled, but I think it's an excellent addition. Now, if we could find an expert to narrow down the ID a bit... :)

Arthropod
Do you think this could be added to the Guide ... ?

Well...
The guide has photos of crabs taken in aquariums, so I think this photo could definitely go in the guide, especially considering how similar it looks to a real spider. It will need its own new class page.

Yay, a new arachnid (sort of) for the Guide!
I'd love to see it added. I misread crab pot and was envisioning some kind of flower pot! At first I thought it looked like Black Widow exuvium but noticed the leg lengths weren't right.

Exuvium
Might be the shed exoskeleton left over from a spider molt.
