A dart? But which one? It's rather baroque.
NE coast of Nova Scotia. Came to porch light 10:45 pm. Salt & fresh marshes, fields, mixed woods. Aggressive with other moths.

Eueretagrotis sigmoides - Sigmoid Dart - Hodges #11007

Covell's guide says that this moth is distinguished by blackish blotch near apex on costa; black basal dash almost merges with broad blackish shading from am. line to reniform spot ... both markings present in this specimen.

Thanks so much, for this and another ID you made. I could not find any images of darts in this area that were this richly marked.
