Letis xylia is the only member of the genus listed for America north of Mexico. (1)
Size
Blanchard & Knudson (1985) reported ♀ wingspan of 82 mm. (2)
Identification
The forewings are variable from dark to pale, with both sexes similar. (2)
Range
Coastal Texas to Central America.
Season
Adults recorded the months of July and October in Texas. (2)
Remarks
The first U.S. record was collected in Port Alto, Calhoun County, Texas, 16-X-1960, A. & M.E. Blanchard, determined by E. Todd. (2)
