Better candidates
Hi, Kevin. It's not Eristalis, tho it looks like one. I don't have time to check now, but would bet on Parhelophilus. Alternates: Helophilus and Lejops. I may check in again later.

Later: Nothing conclusive, but I still lean heavily to Parhelophilus. Perhaps an expert will comment.
