This long, gray insect was on a lawn chair on the lakeside deck midday.

It's a Fishfly of some sort. I don't know how to tell the difference between the species, but you can browse here:

I'm surprise I don't see more of these insects since I live on the lakeshore. I did locate a site that mentioned that the feathery antennae indicated a male of the species.
