Robber Fly 2 - Holcocephala fusca - Male
Gloster, Gloster Arboretum, Amite County, Mississippi, USA
September 1, 2006
Size: Body length 6.3 mm.
Male of mated pair collected by Jeanell on tall (50 cm.) grass near dry bed of small intermittent stream in wooded area.
We believe this is Holcocephala fusca. See female image here for ID discussion.
