Groups of these caterpillars were common on many leaves of many plants of Jerusalem artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus) on July 25 and 26, but had vanished by July 27. Both sides of the leaves were eaten.

Pyraustini
I was thinking genista broom moth (Uresiphita reversalis), but the food plant is wrong. Maybe something else in Pyraustini?
