Paper Wasp? - Tachypompilus ferrugineus

Paper Wasp? - Tachypompilus ferrugineus
Hastings on Hudson, Westchester County, New York, USA
July 30, 2013
Size: 1"
Just found this wasp on top of our rain barrel. Not sure if it was washed down from the roof. I believe it is a paper wasp but the samples I have seen online look slightly different.
