ID for a little bee on Phacelia? - Chelostoma - female

ID for a little bee on Phacelia? - Chelostoma - Female
Claremont, Los Angeles County, California, USA
June 16, 2013
Size: Approx. 4-5 mm
This bee was spotted on Branching Phacelia (Phacelia ramosissima) at the Claremont Colleges Bernard Field Station. We had a very hot, dry spring, and most of the Phacelia had already died back. This patch, along shady trail next to the small lake, was still blooming and was hosting several types of small bees, of which this is one. Any information about it's identity will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Thanks for the ID and sex – I've edited the post to indicate this bee is a female. BugGuide doesn't have many photos of this subgenus, so I'm happy to be able to contribute.
