Abdomen
Do you have a clear photo of the appendages at the tip of the abdomen? This strikes me as possibly Somatochlora kennedyi. The abdomen appears too long and attenuated for Cordulia shurtleffii, and the thoracic markings seem off.

Unfortunately I do not have any better pics of that dragonfly.

My guess would be D. lepida. Definitely need view of terminal appendages, though.

Hello Josh, in this species adults are similar in color. Your appears to have a slim abdomen thus male. In many species of dragons the female will have a thicker abdomen. May the dragons be with you, Henry.
