MPG can be overwhelming to begin with. Because of your location one of the best places to start is with John Davis's page at MPG here

His flickr site here and Dick Wilson's site here have more examples of each moth and I find very useful.

For the chunkier moths Pacific Northwest Moths here is amazing. It even has an interactive key which quickly narrows down your options.

Nice photo
Nick - your shots are great. If you look thru the MPG walkthru guide you would find most of them in a snap, especially with the nice detail you are getting. If gets easier as you keep looking them up.
