Large Spider - Pisaurina mira

Large Spider - Pisaurina mira
Barling/Springhill Park near AR River, Sebastian County, Arkansas, USA
July 13, 2013
Except for tarantulas, I've not seen a bigger spider. No idea what species.

Moved
Moved from ID Request. P. mira looks good to me too.

Nursery Web Spider
I think it's a Pisaurina mira:

Thank you!
Certainly looks like it. I learned a neat ID trick while checking them out: Look at the eyes. The back row of 4 eyes is shaped like a “U.”

You're welcome,
Examining the eyes can be very helpful when IDing spiders! There's a page here with many examples: http://bugguide.net/node/view/84423
