New Hodges Numbers
I assign them at MPG as new species become known. In this case the .95-.99 extension indicates a "holding bucket" for unnamed or unidentified moths at various levels (species, genus, subfamily, family). This is the only way at MPG that we can show photos of moths that are not yet assigned to recognized species. Everything has to have a number or the system won't work.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Don Lafontaine is in the process of describing this species which has been known for some time. Work is being done to find the best pacement for the species. The specific name is chosen by the person who describes the new species.

I also have a poor ventral photo if this specimen that confirms the distinct ventral view on my last submission of this species. Thank you for the answers to my questions. I am encouraged by them!
Thank you Bob Patterson, Maury J. Heiman, and Don Lafontaine
