Oxalis

Oxalis
Madera Canyon, Santa Rita Mountains, Arizona, USA
July 26, 2013
Size: about 4 inches tall
These plants were at the uppermost Madera Canyon parking area. They look like they are in "sleep" mode. They seemed so different that I thought they would be worth sharing. Anyone know what they are?

Oxalis Species
Perhaps Oxalis decaphylla?

It sure looks like the images of that species on-line.
I'm used to thinking of oxalis as having wide leaves, but obviously that's not always so. Thanks for the help.

Glad you posted this
I remember you describing this plant and asking about what it might be.

I think I may have suggested Oxalis. But I admit, wouldn't have been sure had I seen it, as I'm used to the leaflets being in 3's.

Yes, I remember our conversation,
and you were right on! I was thrown off by the narrowness of the leaves...
