Beetle-like, but very plump - Neotibicen
Fanwood, New Jersey, Union County, New Jersey, USA
October 5, 2006
Size: 1 1/2 inches
A very fat/plump critter - big. Looks like a beetle- has the same kind of legs it seems. Somewhat of a hard surface but not that hard. Could this be some kind of grub? It is in clay soil, and is found when you dig into the grass.

Moved
Moved from Tibicen.

Tibicen sp.
The hump-backed appearance is distinctive for this genus.
