cricket-like bug - Phyllopalpus pulchellus

cricket-like bug - Phyllopalpus pulchellus
South Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut, USA
July 26, 2013
Size: 10mm
I noticed this little thing running around on the lid of my trash bin. It was fast, so it took me a while to get a clear picture of it. Any ideas? It looks kind of like a cricket to me, but I have no idea. The head doesn't look like any cricket I've ever seen. It was about 9 - 10mm in length
