Subfamily is
Scolytinae.

EDIT 1: Is anyone else getting Scolytodes with these keys? Either I'm using the keys wrong or the keys are wrong. Or...maybe this is a new species?

EDIT 2: What adds to the "new species" fire is that if I continue to plug in more details, all genera get excluded. Very interesting. Very much look forward to an expert review!

 
Not Scolytodes
Definitely not that. You must be interpreting a character wrong (easy to do).

You can move to the Scolytinae page if you'd like. Hopefully Dr. Atkinson will recognize it the next time he visits.

 
Arlo Pelegrin gave me a new lead...
Redid the keys with "near circular or oval" instead of "ovate" for the antennae club shape, and I think the genus is Pityophthorus. Info page here.

Contrary to what the keys say, the procoxae sure look subcontiguous, not contiguous.
