tiny parasitic fly - Medina

tiny parasitic fly - Medina
Lake in the Woods Reservoir, Douglas County, Oregon, USA
August 6, 2013
Size: 5 mm
On July 30, 2013 I found a tinydead beetle (6 mm) on the ground with a pupa attached. I took it home and on Aug 4 a little fly hatched out of the pupa ... but what kind of fly? The fly is 5 mm, almost as big as the beetle. My photo give a false impressing there is a dark band on the wings, but the wings are clear. Its long legs are somewhat visible through the transparent wings. I'm about to post a better photo of the beetle than the one I posted on July 30.

The location was rather bare ground with a pond nearby (lush vegetation) and lots of mixed evergreen forest surrounding the pond.

If you still have the fly, could you post a photo of the head - frontal view, also lateral view, hopefully also showing more of the antennae.
