It looks very similar to the spider wasp (Dipogon sayi) I posted earlier, and this photo was taken just a couple of days later. The wings, however, lack the noticeable black bands that are clearly shown in the other picture.


Any help is appreciated.

know how I missed this. This is Auplopus. Getting to species is usually impossible even with a good photo.

spider wasp, yes, Dipogon no
Dipogon have long sets of waxy bristles under the head, and they'd be visible in the photo at that angle (if it had them). Can't tell which genus it is, tho.
