Tiny Longhorn - Methia necydalea

Tiny Longhorn - Methia necydalea
Alexandria, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
July 15, 2013
Size: 5mm
This thing was so small I wasn't even sure at first it was a beetle. When I realized it was a longhorn, I brought it inside for this photoshoot. I just browsed all the longhorns in the guide and, while I saw some similar, I didn't see any that looked just like it. Methiini looked the closest...

Cool
Thank you!

Sweeet! What a cutie!
Wonder if it is a Methia.

We don't have any from that far north yet, though

Oh! It does look
kind of like that. How'd I miss that one?
