Little Egg to Caterpillar - Limenitis arthemis

Little Egg to Caterpillar - Limenitis arthemis
Marlton, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
July 30, 2013
Size: Maybe around 1.5 mm?
I saw a butterfly lay an egg when I was sitting on my patio but I forgot about it until the next day. Here it is after I found it.

Limenitis?
What plant is this on?

Plant ID
Cherry, the butterfly was large and black but I didn't see it very well from where I was sitting.
So maybe Limenitis arthemis astyanax (Red-Spotted Purple)

Sounds good
I can't think of anything else it could be.
