What more can you tell us abo
What more can you tell us about the circumstances in which you found these ants and chose these particular images, Sean?

Sure!
Trying to complete my series comparing queen ants to their workers on white (ants from my yard, at least).
I had *finally* located an actual colony of these ants, I sometimes found them wandering around above ground but never knew where they came from. I carefully dug them up, following tunnels and chambers with literally a pair of tweezers because theyr'e so small. I collected any ants I found with a pooter until I finally located the queen, almost 6 inches beneath the surface. Of course a few weeks later they went on their mating flights all over my yard and I realized I totally didn't have to waste so many hours trying to dig them up.
