Luna Moth Oviposting with a Millipede - Actias luna - female

Luna Moth Oviposting with a Millipede - Actias luna - Female
Rockvale, Rutherford County, Tennessee, USA
August 4, 2013
I thought this moth had its wings folded as such because of the millipede in the underneath it. Only when I went to crop the picture did I realize it was a female ovipositing on hickory. (See two brown eggs below her.) Any idea of the type of millipede this is? Do millipedes eat Luna moth eggs?
