sure enough,google has all types of picts of the hawkmoth(Smerinthus cerisyi)today.yesterday when i searched by picture to id they had none .err .:)

the moth id is, Smerinthus ophthalmica. :) It sure is a Beauty!

Smerinthus ophthalmica was recently resurrected to validity as a species. I will get around to making a guide page soon, hopefully.
