Beetle?? (DIN94) - Diabrotica undecimpunctata
Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
October 8, 2006
Size: 1/2 inch
Found this on a tickseed sunflower. Fairly common. Couldn't id from my Audubon guide and couldn't spot in beetle section here.

Hi Fred
Just a quick question. What program do you use to put your name "stamped" on the photo? I take a lot of photos and would like to start doing this. Nice shots by the way.

Thanks!

Hi Jason
I have Photoshop Elements II, but my guess is that all are similar. It has a horizontal type tool among all the little symbols on the left side. Click on that and click on spot in photo where you want your name and start typing. You may have to adjust the font and color. One useful tip that I found in a recent issue of Popular Photography. To get the copywrite symbol if you don't have one on your PC, hold the Alt key and type the numbers 0169.

Re: Beetle??
This looks alittle like a spotted cucumber beetle. I went to www.enature.com then field guides, then clicked on insects, then beetles. I could be wrong though. Genevive

Thanks for both comments
I think you're right - don't know why I didn't see it going through beetles section.
