Maybe Epistrophe or Eupeodes? - Epistrophella emarginata

Maybe Epistrophe or Eupeodes? - Epistrophella emarginata
Fairfield, Somerset County, Maine, USA

Moved from Syrphini.

Any chance this is Epistrophe
Any chance this is Epistrophella emarginata?

Epistrophella emarginata
looks like a good match from here...thank you.

Moved
Moved from Syrphid Flies.

Tribe Syrphini covers both.
Jim, I'd either leave it here - where it'll draw more traffic - or keep it here for a while then shift it to tribe. While I wish I could have done more to advance your post, it did impel me to check tribe, where I was able to upgrade other IDs to species, so you've indirectly benefitted several other people.

(I have a hunch this is Epistrophe, but also a nagging suspicion that there's yet another candidate.)

Syrphini
Thanks Ron, I will leave it here for a bit...
