False Blister Beetle ?

False Blister Beetle ?
Santa Rita Experimental Range, Florida Canyon, Pima County, Arizona, USA
July 25, 2013
Making a guess...
gatherin_2013

elegantly nondescript indeed...
...with so few external features to go on! everybody keeps away from then in this country, probably because of Arnett's haunting legacy
anyway, nice & distinctive beast; hope someone makes oeds his/her mistress group sooner rather than later

Moved from False Blister Beetles.

family looks right
may just be a bicolored Oxacis? Not sure...so distinctive but at the same time nondescript :-/
