This common ectopsocid is distinguished from Ectopsocopsis cryptomeriae, which females superficially resemble, by the distal processes of the subgenital plate ("about 1.5X as wide at base as long")and ovipositor valvulae relatively long compared to "reduced to thumb-like in E. cryptomeriae.(1) Collected during the BugGuide Gathering 2013. gathering_2013
