People left for home or other interesting places nearby. We decided we would take a hike up the trail in Florida Canyon. Along the road we saw another of these big beautiful bee flies. gathering_2013

Poecilanthrax sp.
Sharp-eyed browsing might well get this to species. (It's beyond me tonight.)
