This amazing long-legged, long-bodied, red insect was on the outside of one of our windows. It had a miniscule black head atop its long body. Many thanks for telling me what it is....Denise K.

has alar sclerites but I can't see them clearly enough to say it's purgatus

I am unable to see either any thickening of forewing vein r-rs or any scleromes in the discosubmarginal cell. Therefore, I suspect this is most likely Ophion.
