moth- camouflage or disease? - Neocaloreas leucobasis

This is a small white and brown moth (about 1/2cm) on a chrysanthemum flower. Can any one give it a name? I was very interested in the brown part of the wings that look blistered, is this a normal part of the camouflage or is it some kind of disease? It looks rather odd but didn't prevent it from flying. Any information would be much appreciated.

This moth was identified by Jean-François Landry at Agriculture Canada, at the request of Richard L. Brown, Director of the Mississippi Enotmological Museum to whom I had sent the photo. Dr. Landry is a specialist in the micromoths.

I have forwarsd to Dr. Landry your name and the details given for your photo. He states that there are but few records for the moth (and I presume wishes to add this record to his database).

Thought at first that it was one of the
Choreutidae - Choreutid Moths, images in the guide here, but didn't find one with your colors. Sorry!
