I've never seen a roach with this many mites before.

I think I can see anal pedice
I think I can see anal pedicels on a few of these mites, so I agree with Heather that Uropodidae (s. lat.) is correct. They're not astigmatans.

Do you have any closer-up images of the mites? The general gestalt is of Mesostigmata: Uropodina, but they could also be phoretic deutonymphs of Astigmata.
