Small Carabid - Scaritinae? - Semiardistomis viridis
4 miles West of Winnsboro, Wood County, Texas, USA
June 16, 2013
Size: ~ 6mm
Another carabid that was collected at MV/UV lights. Not as distinct in image is the dark bluish/greenish sheen that is on the dorsal side of the thorax and the dorsal outer edge of the elytra. Help appreciated.

Semiardistomis viridis vs S. puncticollis.
These two Texan species are easiest separated (correspondingly) by prontal disk portion without setigerous punctures vs with many such punctures. I wish the pronotum showed clearer which of these character states. For now I tend to favor S. viridis -- also because the elytra appearing more robust/wide relative to the forebody.
