Size: 7 mm or so
They were on a wild blackberry (Rubus sp.) leaf in a wild blackberry meadow clearing in a dry Carolinian forest.

I think these have to be Archytas: Tachinini with palps, no discals on T3 or T4, only one pair of median marginals on T3, first flagellomere longer than wide, and no parafacial bristles.
