Green Grasshopper - Schistocerca shoshone - female

Green Grasshopper - Schistocerca shoshone - Female
Churchill County, Nevada, USA
August 19, 2013
Schistocerca shoshone?

yes
I've wondered if the ones that have a bit of a stripe are hybridized with S. lineata. They behave as different species when they are in the same area, but they have apparently been hybridized in captivity.

Moved from Short-horned Grasshoppers.
