Marava unidentata?
According to the info page there's only 3 species in North America. The other 2 are from the deep south. Should all the northern Marava be moved to a new species page?

note the difference in the shape of pygidium. Specimen in the pic has rectangular pygidium whereas males of V. brunneipennis posted on bugguide seems to have pentagonal pygidium.

Are you confident with the ID?
I've yet to encounter V. brunneripes with black femur whereas images of Marava from bugguide indicates that some of the Marava species has black femur.Even the antennae coloration matches so I'd like the know your reasoning behind moving this image to V. brunneipennis page.

A convincing arguement for Marava
I agree.

wow... great find -- suspect Don would like to have it...
must be quite uncommon in New England

Moved from Earwigs.

I was surprised to get an earwig at my house that was new to me. When I checked the UNH website, this wasn't listed, so I'll make sure Don gets this one.
