Gall - Andricus quercuscalifornicus

Gall - Andricus quercuscalifornicus
Sacramento, Sacramento County, California, USA
August 22, 2013
Size: Gall Size: 80mm
I found at least four inhabitants: One winged wasp, almost an adult, which was strong enough to support itself on its legs for a few seconds at a time. One dead individual, one wingless individual, and one larva --which I don't know if it was a wasp or something else living in the gall.
