Either cintalpa or irroratus - Anthrax
Montosa Canyon Road, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA

This keyed to Anthrax in the MND(1), and to either A. irroratus or A. cintalpa in Marston (1970)...see "Print References" on Info page. Both those species are commonly recorded from the area where this photo was taken, according to range maps in Marston. The view of the 2nd antennal segment isn't clear enough for me to tell whether it's lenticular (=>A. irroratus) or saucer-shaped with a projecting flange (=>A. cintalpa) ...though if I had to guess I say the latter.
