Acronicta ovata? - Hodges #9243 - Exilied Dagger Moth - Acronicta exilis

Acronicta ovata? - Hodges #9243 - Exilied Dagger Moth - Acronicta exilis
Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, USA
August 24, 2013
Size: ~14mm length
Attracted to black light. Looks like an Acronicta to me and the best fit appears to be # 9243 A.ovata. Anyway, whatever it is, I think it is the same species as the not yet identified posted specimen . I would appreciate confirmation or other suggestions. Thanks.
Edit: Retraction: I still think these moths might be of the same species, but I'm not so sure anymore that they are A.ovata. Looking again I find similarities with #9242 - #9245!

Acronicta exilis?
Looking at Acronicta to find a place for a recently posted image, my encounter on the MPG walk with #9242 A. exilis reminded me of this one and persuaded me that A exilis is its very likely ID. Its relatively small size is consistent with that ID. I then noticed that Jack Foreman ended up with the same suggestion for the moth I had provided a thumbnail of on this page. Still waiting for expert attention!
