A while back thought the same thing and I asked for expert help, but no response.

Coastal Plain Meganola, I think
I was at Whitesbog that night as well and I think I may have photographed the same moth. It's on my Flickr, here:

The best match I could come up with was Coastal Plain Meganola (Meganola phylla).
