southern masked chafer?
Cyclocephala lurida? not sure... but its some sort of scarab beetle and this is my closest find...

doubtfull
I doubt it is a cyclocephala species (ie a dynastid). This guy has the shape and feel of a member of the Melolonthinae (may beetles/june bugs).

heres Cyclocephala
many differences from your image - the emarginate clypeus alone rules out Cyclocephala
Florida also has several unique Melolonthine genera not yet in the guide.
